As the Qualified State Beef Council for Arkansas, the Council administers the Beef Checkoff Program within the state and invests cattle producer dollars in initiatives that build consumer confidence in beef, expand market opportunities, support industry research, and enhance producer education.
Working in partnership with state, national, and international beef industry organizations, the Council supports programs that increase beef demand and improve the long-term profitability and sustainability of Arkansas cattle producers. These efforts include consumer outreach, nutrition and educational initiatives, youth and leadership development, export market support, and research conducted through universities and industry partners.
Governed by a seven-member board representing Arkansas cattle producers and livestock market interests, the Arkansas Beef Council serves as a steward of Beef Checkoff investments and works to advance the success of one of Arkansas's leading agricultural industries.
